Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actor who is employed in film and TV is most well-known for her roles in films like Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born as the only children to Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into the world of show business early, and ended up playing lead roles in different TV dramas before she turned 16. Her portrayal of Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historic war film), was critically and commercially acclaimed. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also Oscar-nominated. Alexandra's work has led her to participate in several important national and international projects. Some of these include the British biographical films, the British Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. Her other roles include being an official jury member for both The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
