Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress who works in film and TV is best known for films such as Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born as the only child to Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra entered showbiz early and landed up playing lead roles in different shows on television by the time she reached the age of 16. Her fame was due to her role as a character in Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable roles, including Adolf Hitler's Secretariat Traudl Junge.
